Gram B in da house!

Well, my gramb is here and i tell you what, i am one happy little guy--we have had a good ole time...done lots of walking round, some shoppin, canned some maters, it has been awesome...i am still working hard to learn to sit up, and to reach out my arms to get picked up. i tell you what, after all that good rice cereal, i am almost as big as gramb--i tried a little suck on a peach, but my belly did not like it, so sticking mainly to the boob for now, cause i love milk--but i am totally digging the rice cereal twice a day. we did some mommy and me yoga today, it was fun, mom mooed and barked at me, it was quite the spectacal. life is good.

i am so intent on getting this cereal that as soon as the bowl is near me, i grabbed it and tried to pour it into my mouth, but mom made me use the spoon--she is way too civilized.

today was a big day for me, i got my first real food. the doc had told mom to wait until i was 6 mohts old, but i kept grabbing at food and crying when mom and dad ate in front of me, so mom explained all this to the doc and she said that i could have real food, finally--i have been starving. the doc warned that most babies take 1 week to 1 month to realy start eating the food, to get the hang of closing the mouth around the spoon, swallowing, etc. I have been carefully studying mom and dad for a while now, so i was an old pro, i ate like i had been doing it all my life! we are very excited in this household, cause now maybe my tummy will be full enough that i can sleep longer at night! two other big things happened too--i really started to notice my dog jack and he is hilarious--everything he does makes me crack up, and not just a little giggle either, i mean he is hilarious to the max...daisy, she is not so funny unless she is playing with jack, i just like to smile at her. i also surprised mom the other day. for a while i was rolling from my back to my belly--i kinda got tired of that and have stopped, but mom had me on my belly and was talking to jack and then walla--i was on my back, i cannot really remember how i did it either, cause i have been trying ever since to do it again, but i am still very proud. here are some pics of me in tummy time and then my first real meal!

So, it has been quite the week. Thurs was pretty crazy--mom was taking me to get my 4 month old shots and wham, we got rear-ended on the way. We are both fine, got a little bit of a jolt, but dad came and picked me up while mom waited for the police and he took me to get my shots and had the doctor look me over, and all was good--mom had a little bit of a sore neck that night, but is good now. the car however, has a bent exhaust sytem and possibly something wrong with the right axle, we think--we will know for sure on monday--thank goodness she had insurance! i did great with the shots, barely cried, and had no reactions! I am 14.6 lbs and 27 inches--that makes me in the 33rd percentile for weight and 93 for height.

then on friday, mom had my playgroup over--these are moms from her birthing and yoga class. they went throughthe leftovers from sunday's baby clothes swap--what fun.
this is lyla (in pink), maya (getting her diaper changed), me in blue, ray in the khaki pants and zach in the blue pants. zach is only 1 day older than me and weighs 8 lbs more than me, he is a big boy! ray is 4 days younger, lyla 2 weeks younger and maya is 1 week older.

i started using cloth diapers at home, and man do they make my butt look huge! dad has yet to rines a poopy onein the toilet, we will see how that goes, but so far no leaks and i don't seem to mind the difference!

i love my feet

i have just started trying to learn to sit up in my sweet hand me down bumbo chair, and i am absolutely obsessed with my feet, all i want to do is grab them (I am very close to being able to put them in my mouth) or chew on my hands...pretty exciting times!

we had such a good visit home!

This past week we went home to indy and nky--i was a totally awesome due on the plane, sleeping the whole time going both ways--mom and dad were so thrilled! then as I was passed around and held y probably close to 50 different people, I was still a champ, barely cried and slept pretty okay. I was really worn out and tired by the end of it all--but it was worth it--i met som any wonderful people, it is so nice to be loved by so many. i got to meet my great-grams and all my uncles and aunts and great aunts and uncles and cousins once removed (i think thats what their called) and lots of family friends. I spent some quality time with both sets of grandparents too! mainly we went to celebrate my great-grams' 90th b-day, and it was so fun and she is so amazing, but while we were there my auntie em presided over a blessing for me--so many people put so much thought into what they wanted to say to me, it was very veryspecial--my gram-b and gramp-c also threw a party or me, with some super yummy bbq (mom was not so sure i would like it). then we went and visited my great-gramps (my namesake) museum. We had a wonderful trip, it was so good to met everyone--mom says thanks! here are some pics--auntie em had her supre nice camera and took tons of pics, so we will post more when we get those, but here are a few!
