thanks again everyone for your xmas thoughtfulness--and emma, the calendar is awesome! ellis was sporting his new overalls from uncle michael and auntie gina, so we thought we would post some pics..after another near sleepless night, the tooth will hopefully arrive soon...

so on christmas we took a really nice walk out our door down the bike path and then hiked back along the othre side of the river by the ponds--it was so pretty out. when we got back,papa smashed mama at some ping pong while i took a nap...anyhow, here are a few pics from our walk. I am wearing a snowsuit that was my papas when he was a little guy like me, it kept me very warm!

Merry Christmas!

Last night we went to a caroling party at my friend Rita's house--it was so much fun--we ate chili, hung out by the fire, sang around a piano and then walked ALL OVER TOWN singing to lots of folks, our favorite was singing at the firehouse...although I did sleep in my stroller for most of it. Cause mom and dad kept me out pas tmy bedtime, i kept them up most the night (hear me snicker). then i woke up on a beautiful christmas morning, and mom and dad and i had a wonderful time sitting aroun dplaying and opening gifts--thank you so much everyone--ellis loves all his goodies, as do we--thanks again!!!

it was a good day

today we went and saw some of my little friends, ray, lyla and ezra. it was good to see them, we are all practicing sitting up, so it was fun to crash into one another and share (and take) toys. i am very happy today, which is off, because i only napped a total of 20 minutes all day. tonight i start baby boot camp, mom is going to make me sleep in my own bed on only eat at certain times...we will see how that goes...she is giving it a week. oh, and las tnight i met santa, but was very ambiguous about the whole thing, mom will post a pic of me on his lap soon but is still waiting to get a copy.

this was a very scary weekend for me. i started to get sick on friday, and on saturady i had to go to the hospital, i had a bd case of croup and bronchitis, i got out on sunday, and by mondya was on the mend, and today, except for a raspy voice and a wet cough, i am back to my old self. i am also sitting up real good these days, take a look.

I love my jumpy chair and my dog jack, and my new favorite toy is a pot and a wooden spoon, which i bang on for long periods of time...

Sitting up

So, I am very proud of myself, I sat up for 5 minutes today without falling over. Papa and I hung out all day and mama came home from work at lunch for a few, I was very happy. mama and Papa rearranged the furniture on the first floor so I now have lots of space to "drive" my little car around on the floor--I can scoot in it pretty good these days. I still love my jumpy chair the best though. Yesterday it got really warm and started melting the snow, so we went out and I got to play in it, no snowsuit, but still threw my first snowball...it was very funny. We also got our "christmas tree" it is really a house plant, a norfolk pine, very prickly, but also ver pretty--this one will for sure be put out my reach..we have decorated it with all of my "baby's first year" ornaments, it is very nice.

I really want to be mobile

so I am rollin, a lot, all over the place, even when i am eating i am trying to roll. at night, i now roll over and sleep on my belly. i think i will be crawling in no time at all. i am also quite the talker. the other day bri, my babysitter was practicing for her choir concert and i just sang along the whole time with her. i love music. mom wanted to get some pics of me in my snowsuit today for our first snow, but i was not havin it at all, so maybe she will try again tomorrow...

fresh out of the bath


Sorry there was no text with the last one, mom got a little distracted. We had a good thanksgiving, not the same as being with family, but we were with a great group of people and the food was to die for, seriously, mom thinks the turkey was the best she ever had. Everyone went all out. I got to eat pre-made but home cooked sweet potato, squash and peas, it was super yummy. I was so well behaved, I just sat in my high chair while everyone ate, and every once in a while mom would shovel a spoonful in and I was happy. Our friends Jon and Brooke came and spent the weekend and played with me a lot, we had fun...I like redheads and people with glasses. I am rolling like crazy, across rooms and more...I love my ball, I will roll many times to get it. And I love my shakers, I play it while mom plays guitar sometimes. She tried to get me to show off for this little clip, but I was a little hestitant, but she posted it anyway. Mom is not sure if it is for real, but I wave my hand a lot now, like I am trying to say hi or bye. Well, the long weekend is almost over...hope everyone else had a good thanksgivin weekend!

today we went back to Lory state park to go fora hike and on the way we ran into some friends of ours, padriac and his girls abigail and kylah--for being 3 and 5, they are pretty good hikers. i hung out in my backpack for most of it--it was such a nice day out. jack and daisy had fun being dogs, roling in stuff and swimming...jack went all the way in, above where he could touch, we were all very proud of him. and yesterday, mom had over some of my friends and their moms for a babyfood cook a thon...it took almost 4 hours, but they made us lots of good food--squash, peas, green beans, pears, sweet potatos and more...i should be set for a while now. mom starts back to work tomorrow at 32 hours...she will still have fridays off with me through december, but she is really gonna miss hanging out with me on tues and thursday afternoons and all day wed--she really wishes she could stay part time...i guess we will all make it work though...we hope everyone is doing well!
